At BrandGear, we strive to support our local community and national charities in two distinct ways.
Social Enterprise: A social enterprise is an organization that applies commercial strategies to maximize improvements in human and environmental well-being, rather than maximising profits for external shareholders. Social enterprises can be structured as a for-profit or non-profit, and may take the form of a co-operative, mutual organization, a social business, or a charity organization. It is with that in-mind that we endeavor to support a number of social enterprise in and around the lower mainland! Cause we all have a common thread and life is better when we recognize its Beautiful, in Fair Trade, Fair Wages...
So we support: Common Thread is a social enterprise that sources street banners and other fabric to convert into colourful and durable products. they coordinate production by there network of producers.
The Canadian Muslim Women’s Sewing Training Program and Social Enterprise is made up of two components: a one year training program and the establishment of a social enterprise called “SewFair”.
SewFair is meant to have a play on the words so beautiful, fair trade and fair wages (no sweat shop). Charitable Contribution: Historically, the promotional products industry and charitable organizations have worked hand-in-hand to leverage the use of promotional merchandise to meet fundraising objectives.
This is achieved by using merchandise for incentive programs, rewarding donors and promoting various causes. We love to work with charitable organizations across BC and even Canada. In some instances we are their primary supplier of promotional merchandise. On other occasions, we will donate product, time or money to support worthwhile causes.
